On this page:Originally founded in 1994 as Green-Alternative Youth Association, or GAJB (Grün-Alternatives Jugendbündnis, it renamed itself to Grüne Jugend in April of 2000. The logo of the Grüne Jugend is a grim-looking hedgehog (the hedgehog was and is a symbol of the
Greens, although the sunflower is more common at their website. The flag shows the hedgehog, outlined in white, on a green background; under the hedgehog the inscription Grüne
Jugend.
